WHY ZENDOCRINE DETOXIFICATION BLEND?
Lets talk about PREPARING our bodies with ZENDOCRINE.
Before we go in and kill the bad guys, candida and other junk with GX Assist we need to make sure that the pathways our bodies have for flushing these things out are clear. SUGAR
Let’s talk about sweeteners.
Three great sweeteners, made from food that do NOT raise blood sugar and do NOT feed candida:
* Stevia
* Etythritol
* Xylitol
Pretty much all the others can either spike your blood sugar which causes weight gain or feed candida. Even those that are 0 carbs like aspartame and Splenda – avoid these!!! They are also made from chemicals and not food and are bad for you in general too. Be aware of products with stevia that also have fillers that are starchy and add carbs like dextrose. I use the Sweet Leaf brand clear liquid .
***Do not get in the mindset of trying to recreate junk foods with healthy ingredients. Instead focus on what you can have – veggies meat and eggs.
When I’m fighting sugar cravings I often have some sparkling water or green tea with stevia or a piece of Slim and Sassy gum. The gum has saved me MANY times!!
SNACKS
Here are some ideas …
* Celery. Plain, with almond butter or Kite Hill dairy free cream cheese (its $ but really good!)
* Almonds, pecans or macadamia nuts (avoid cashews, pistachios and especially peanuts which are high in mold which then feeds candida)
* Cut up bell pepper.
* Boiled eggs or make some deviled eggs!
* Raw broccoli or cauliflower
* zucchini or kale chips (google for recipes, they are easy!)
* Sliced cucumber
* Nitrate free lunch meat rolled with avocado slices (you could add bacon too)

Have you ever noticed that when you focus on what you can’t or shouldn’t be eating while on the cleanse that you actually want more of it!? Below is a list of cleanse-friendly foods!
If it helps you, create a list of things that you can eat and stick it on your fridge so that you don’t feel limited.

Focus on incorporating these foods while on the candida diet:
Low-sugar fruits: Lemon, limes, berries (may be eaten in small amounts).
Non-starchy vegetables: Asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, kale, celery, cucumber, eggplant, onion, spinach, zucchini, tomatoes and rutabaga (best if eaten raw or steamed).
Gluten-free grains: Millet, quinoa, oat bran and buckwheat.
High-quality protein: Chicken, eggs, salmon, turkey and sardines (organic, pasture-raised and wild-caught varieties are best).
Healthy fats: Avocado, olives, unrefined coconut oil, flax oil, extra-virgin olive oil and sesame oil.
Certain dairy products: Butter, ghee, organic kefir or plain yogurt. (organic is ideal)
Nuts and seeds low in mold: Almonds, sunflower seeds, coconut or flaxseed.
Herbs and spices: Black pepper, salt, cinnamon, dill, garlic, ginger, oregano, rosemary, paprika, turmeric and thyme.
Condiments: Apple cider vinegar, coconut aminos and sauerkraut.
No-sugar sweeteners: Stevia, erythritol and xylitol (are approved)
Non-caffeinated beverages: Herbal teas, chicory coffee, filtered water, homemade almond milk, coconut milk (look for one without additives) and water infused with lemon or lime.
HEALTHY FATS
Fat got a bad rap for a long time. If you are 35 or older you probably remember the low-fat diet phase we went through as a culture. Thankfully we know more now and FAT IS BACK!
But not all fats are created equal. It is beneficial to fill our diet with healthy fats. They satisfy our appetite and are good for our brains and hearts.
Bad fats can raise cholesterol in an unhealthy way, raise inflammation in the body and cause pain and sickness.

DRY BRUSHING
Have you heard of dry brushing? It is a simple and easy way to support your lymphatic system (moves toxins out of your body) and improve your skin as well as how you FEEL! I try to do this several times a week as part of my ongoing cleansing and detox. It is a great habit to add during the cleanse and going forward!
Interesting info: Your lymph fluid flows around your body similar to how your blood travels in your veins. It is vital to keep it moving and unblocked so toxins don’t accumulate. More lymph collects on the left side of the body and breast cancer is more prevalent on the left side as well….coincidence? In my opinion, no. Keeping your lymphatic fluid moving in your arms and around the breasts is a good idea. It can also tighten up that skin under your arms!
OOPS!
Have you gone off track with food? That is no reason to quit! You get to start over every time you eat! Shake it off and give yourself some grace – it is really hard to change especially if your body is used to sugar and caffeine. Just do your best! Be determined to finish and feel better!
Food can be enjoyable (and should be!) but its main job is to fuel our body.
Every bite we take either helps or hurts our health. You deserve to be treated well. Remind yourself of that when its time to make a decision about what to eat.
